Biological Production Mode
Agriculture in biological production mode represents a way of facing a problem, even before it is structured in the various techniques and operations. In this regard, an intervention procedure in the earth may be validly called a biological process, if it favours the development and the continuation of life and the activities associated with it. This is precisely the purpose of the AGROBIOFILM project.
The biological production mode is based on various principles aimed at reducing the human impact on the environment and ensuring that the agricultural system works as naturally as possible. Thus, very strict limits are imposed, such as the use of pesticides, herbicides and antibiotics, as well as the use of genetically modified organisms. Biological production is governed by standards and regulations that define products and their labelling – EU regulation.
